Frequently Asked Questions
What insurance does DGC accept?
D.G.Counseling Inc. accepts most insurance coverage. This means we could be in network which means a better reimbursement for clients. Clients are responsible to pay co pay at time of service. It is recommended that you contact your insurance company to explore benefits.
Our billing specialist will work with you to receive the best reimbursment available. Jamie Bailey can be reached @ 630-353-0697.
How long are counseling sessions?
Most counseling sessions last for 55 minutes. The first session may last a little longer as there is paperwork to complete. Please see the “Counseling Contract”, “Intake Information”, and “Informed Consent” forms located on the “Power News” page under the category “Therapy”, print them out, and bring them in at your convenience. We try to schedule our clients to ensure confidentiality. However, there may be times when you may encounter other clients in the waiting area.
How will I know which counselor will be the best fit for me?
We believe that you, as a consumer, deserve the highest quality and the best fit. Counseling is not likely to be successful if the client and therapist do not connect well. We strive for success for our clients. In an effort to match clients to the therapists most likely to be a good fit, we offer the first counseling session free of charge. If the client feels it is a good fit, and wants to continue working with this therapist, there is still no charge for the first session. If the client feels it is not a good fit, we will gladly refer to another therapist within DGC, or to other professionals in the area.
What if I am going to be late or need to reschedule?
Our policy is that clients can call within 24 hours of the scheduled session to cancel their appointment without incurring a charge. If the client does not call within 24 hours, 50% of the session fee will be due (except in case of emergency in which case the client will not incur a charge). The 50% charge is not reimbursable by insurance.
Is the building handicap accessible?
